I have asked myself the following questions, perhaps
you have too.
"Why doesn't God save me?"
He has accomplished and provided for my salvation, but
I have not yet entered into a relationship with Him.
"Why doesn't God do everything we ask?"
He has done it. The point is - will I step into this
covenant relationship? All the great blessings of God
are finished and complete, but they are not mine until
I enter into a relationship based on His terms and not
my own. That is why things don't work out in the long
run for those who try to create a god of their own
understanding. God is not created by us, we are
created by Him.
Waiting for God to act is a form of unbelief. It means
I have no faith in Him. I wait for Him to do something
in me so I may trust in that. But God won't do it
because that is not the basis of the God and Man
relationship. Man must go beyond the physical body and
feelings with his relationship with God, just as God
goes beyond Himself in reaching out with His
relationship with man.
It is a question of Faith in God - a very rare thing
indeed. We seem to only have faith in our feelings. I
don't believe in God until he puts something tangible in
my hand so that I know I have it. then I say "Now I
believe" There is no faith in that. God says "Look
to Me not to things and you will be saved"
(Isaiah45:22)
When I really get down to business with God on His terms
and not my own, [i.e.. my own understanding of Him,
her, it, they] letting everything else go, there
is a wonderful sense of being in union with God, and
that is where I truly can find serenity.
Blessings and Progress To All.

Meditorial:
God is not someone or something I can try
and perceive out of my own understanding. That would
make me the creator. I am created out of His
understanding and therefore must drop the faith in
myself will and grow in faith in Him.
Today I will not turn my problems over to
God on my own power. I will instead ask Him to take
them, leaving those which are placed there by Him to
help me grow.
