Feeling Alien?

Well, good day Earthlings, and how are we doing today?

Are we feeling well, healthy, and part of.  Tell me, do you feel like sometimes you just don't fit in around here? Like this is not where you belong,  that perhaps you were meant to be somewhere else.  Do you ever feel like an Alien in a strange land?

Sometimes, even in the company of a large group of friends, I can feel very alone.  Have you ever felt like that?  Have you ever heard that old Earthling saying,  "YOUR RIGHT WHERE YOUR SUPPOSED TO BE", suggesting that no matter what you are going through, you are right where you are supposed to be at that time.  That somehow in the larger scheme of things, you are meant to be where you are. HOG WASH.

Although I won't deny that sometimes that might be true, many times it is not.  There are many times God has tried to direct me in a direction that was the best way for me to go, and because I have free will, I went just the opposite way.  Was I meant to do that?  Was I meant to end up where I did because of my poor choice not listening to my Higher Power?  Was I meant to be in the situation I had gotten myself in?  Of course not.

You see the key phrase here is "I had gotten myself in".

God no more meant me to be there than THE MAN ON THE MOON, (ha, Ha)

But because I did what I did, and I have freedom of choice, I am not where I was meant to be, and that tends to mess things up just a bit.  At least it seems to slow down the process in which God had meant for my life.  You see we seem to get into God's way allot, and that is NOT what He has meant for us at all.

Have you ever asked yourself,  "What is God's will for my life?"  Consider this...  God has two wills, His perfect will, and His permissive will.  His perfect will is designed to keep me right where I'm supposed to be at any given time, it is the place that is best for me, and the place that brings glory to God.  Then there is His permissive will, This is His will that allows me to go off track even if it is not what He had intended for me to do.  In other words, Although He never meant for me to be where I decided to put myself, he is not intimidated by my poor choices.  He can always take a bad choice that I have made, and use it for good.  But it's not necessarily where I was meant to be.

So, do you sometimes feel like your not where you are supposed to be?  You just might be right.  If you have turned your life over to the care of God, he will take care of you as long as you remain under His wings of love.  But just as a parent can't protect their child from the poor choices they make when they decide to stray away from what they know is right, so it is with God.  When we choose to disobey His perfect will for us, our spaceship lands out side of His protection, but because He loves us so deeply, he reaches out and draws us back, if we choose to listen to His voice and not our own.  But until we make a conscience attempt to do what He would ask of us, we can end up in just about any condition.  And my friends, that is not at all where we are meant to be.  It is where we choose to be, and God allows us our choices.

So, don't be content to stay in your mess in the name of "I'M MEANT TO BE HERE", or "I'M JUST SICK", or my favorite one to hate,  "YOU KNOW HOW WE ARE, WERE JUST ADDICTS", because it is a real good possibility that you are not meant to be there at all.  Most of us know right from wrong, and if you have lost your focus on what's right,..............  ET, CALL HOME, get back in touch with your God, and He will lead you back to where you are truly meant to be.

My friend, do you find it extremely hard to make the right choices?  your not alone.  However, God has not left us with out help and strength.  The Bible says that when we receive the free gift of God in the being of His Son Jesus, believe in our heart and confess with our mouth that He is lord, that at that point His Holy Spirit comes and communes with our spirit.  In other words,

The Holy Spirit of God Himself comes and literally lives within us.  We become the temple of His Spirit, the place where He dwells.  His Kingdom, the Kingdom of God comes to live within us.  I don't know about you, but that is more power to do what is right than I ever thought possible.  This power will overcome addiction, abuse, deep inner pain, sorrow, and wrong thinking, but because God is a gentleman, He will never force Himself upon us.  He waits for us to become willing, and when we are, that’s when we are able to tap into His power.  What a grand thing to be able to be one with the Almighty Creator of heaven and Earth.  Why would anyone choose not to be?

So I suppose in a very real way, we are alien to this world, we are spiritual beings living in a world full of corruption and un-godly life styles.  This is not our real home, we are pilgrims if you will, passing through for a short while and then depending on our spiritual condition, and our relationship with the Lord, we move on to everlasting life, away from this mess to spend eternity with our maker.  I can't wait.

Until next time,  "Live long and prosper", Oh’ and remember, we do RECOVER from those things that would seek to destroy us, if we choose to turn them over to God.

Meditorial:

Today I choose not to conform to silly sayings that would suggest that there is nothing in my life that needs to change.  I will not be content to just fit in.  When I feel alien I will remember why.  I am not destined for this world but to be with God forever in the next.
